Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail students visited Apex to learn about the corporate world.

On January 20, Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail (JA) students from local high schools visited our office in Fort Worth, Texas for “Reverse JA in a Day.”

15 Apex employees served as teachers and volunteers for the event, where students attended five sessions to develop conflict management, collaboration, and interpersonal relations skills. The day also included a panel discussion by Apex employees who provided valuable insight on what companies look for in future employees and best practices for job interviews.

“Reverse JA in a Day is an impactful experience because it gives students insight into the corporate world and the day-to-day actions of a workplace,” said Mayra Tavera, Apex employee and former Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail student. “What better way to teach them about business than to bring them into our home! It shows them what career possibilities are out there.”

“Opportunities like this give students extra attention to better themselves and find ways to improve,” said Maegan Ryan, Apex employee and co-chair of the event. “Apex is so proud to be involved with such an impactful organization that is shaping the lives of local students. We were so touched that these students wanted to come work at Apex after visiting!”
