Why Truckers Recommend Apex Capital: 2026 Client Survey Results

What Carriers Want from a Freight Factoring Company

A Net Promoter Score (NPS) comes down to one question: would you recommend Apex to another carrier? We received a score of 93 on a scale of -100 to +100; it’s the highest score recorded since we started tracking NPS in 2017. We also asked our clients to rank their factoring experience and we’re sharing what they said. Fast, reliable funding and customer service came out on top. Clients named their account rep more often than any app or tool.

If you’ve been shopping for a factoring company, you’ve been comparing percentages. Many comparison websites lead with a factoring rate and rank factoring companies by what they charge. It’s the one number that’s easy to line upside by side, so it’s the number many in the industry to compete on.

We asked our clients about it.  We surveyed Apex clients and asked them to rank their factoring experience from most important to least.

Factoring rate didn’t come first. It didn’t come second, either.

What Carriers Said They Actually Want

The top two priorities were fast, reliable funding, and customer service.

Then we asked what they value most about working with Apex. Clients named their account executive more often than any app, tool, or feature we offer. Every client gets their own account executive, based here in Fort Worth, Texas. They know the trucking industry and they know your account.

“Communication!!!! [Apex Employees] have been AMAZING about picking up the phone and answering any questions I have.”

Cash Flow Is the Reason You Start Factoring. It’s Not the Reason You Stay.

Ask carriers why they factor, and their answer is obvious: cash flow. You can’t wait 30, 60, or 90 days on a broker when fuel and payroll are all due. That’s the problem, and every factoring company in the country will tell you they can solve it.

Which is exactly why it doesn’t really help you choose one.

What separates factoring companies isn’t just whether cash shows up when you were told it would. It’s whether the cash shows up on a Friday night, or over a holiday weekend, and whether there’s a person who picks up the phone when you have a problem. That’s why our clients ranked Apex’s customer service at the top of their list.

The Score That Comes Out of Doing It the Right Way

When you build a business around the two things clients say matter most, this is what comes back: an overall Net Promoter Score of 93, the highest we’ve recorded since we started tracking it in 2017.

It lines up with what carriers say publicly, too, where Apex has earned more than 700 five-star reviews across Google, the Better Business Bureau, and Trustpilot.

What Is a Net Promoter Score?

Net Promoter Score, or NPS, is an industry-standard customer satisfaction score that measures customer loyalty and is used across different industries, including banking, insurance, and financial services. It comes down to one question: how likely are you to recommend this company to someone else?

Clients answer on a 0-to-10 scale.  The score is the percentage of promoters minus the percentage of detractors, so it lands somewhere between -100 and +100. Anything above 70 is considered world-class.

We Didn’t Send a One-Question Survey

A score on its own doesn’t tell you much. So alongside it, we asked eight open-ended questions like:

Check What’s hard right now

Check What you wish you could handle without calling us

Check What technology you can’t live without

Check What’s worrying you about the next twelve months

We read and analyzed every one of those responses. Outside judges have weighed in, too. Apex won the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics, decided by an independent panel rather than a customer poll. We’ve also earned 16 rankings in the Best Companies to Work for in Texas program and a No. 1 finish in Fort Worth in 2022, both administered by the independent research firm Best Companies Group. Those are more than vanity awards. The person who picks up your call works here, and how a company treats its own team impacts how that team treats you.

The Factoring Tools We Built First

Competing on reliability instead of price leaves a timeline. Here’s ours:

Desktop icon

2008: We launched the Account Management Portal (AMP) so clients could reach their accounts around the clock. The Apex TCS Fuel Card arrived the same year.

Invoice icon

2010: We started accepting invoices digitally, so you could submit them online instead of hunting down a fax machine.

Phone icon

2015: We launched the Apex Mobile Factoring™ App, the first mobile app built specifically for freight factoring, so clients could manage invoices from the road.

24/7 icon

2021: We launched Apex 24/7 Factoring, funding clients during nights, weekends, and holidays instead of only during standard banking hours.

2025: We launched Apex Equipment Financing, helping our clients grow their fleet and business.

Get the Apex Difference

Every Apex client gets the full set, not a starter tier:

Apex Chevron
  • Unlimited broker credit checks.
  • The NextLOAD load board. Find your next haul, on a load board that’s free and exclusive to Apex clients, with loads posted directly through trusted brokers and shippers.
  • Back-office and collections support. We work with your customers to ensure prompt and efficient payments.
  • Flexible terms. No long-term contracts or monthly minimum volume fees required, and both recourse and non-recourse plans are available and explained in plain language.
  • And if you’re still wondering whether every factoring company is basically the same, we took that idea apart in Busting the Top Freight Factoring Myths.

Rate Is Easy to Advertise. This Isn’t.

An NPS of 93 isn’t a trophy for our wall. It’s what carriers rated us when they were asked whether Apex is worth recommending to othersBecause Apex offers funding they can count on and a dedicated account representative who knows their business.
