Apex Capital Volunteers Complete Junior Achievement Fall 2012 Curriculum

Client Image

Apex Capital employees have been actively involved with Junior Achievement in the classroom and as contributors for over six years. Employees recently completed Junior Achievement courses for the fall 2012 semester in Fort Worth and Irma Marsh ISD classrooms. Ten Apex employees volunteered in classrooms grades 3-12 this semester. Apex personnel support JA by volunteering to teach in the classroom and with monetary donations raised for the annual JA bowl-a-thon through employee organized fundraising events. This year, Apex personnel raised over $30,000 for Junior Achievement in monetary donations.

Dean Tetirick, Vice President and General Counsel of Apex and a Board member of Junior Achievement of The Chisholm Trail, Inc., observed,  “This is just one of the ways caring Apex employees do their part to strengthen the community we live in. As classroom volunteers teaching JA courses on financial literacy and workforce readiness, our people act as role models to students, showing them the financial and other benefits of staying in school and completing their education.”

Apex supports and encourages employee involvement in the classroom each semester.  Last spring, seven employees volunteered to teach in local classrooms and this fall Apexers continued their efforts to educate students from K-12 about higher education and employment in the global marketplace. This year’s volunteer involvement demonstrates Apex personnel’s enthusiasm for the program and their commitment to Junior Achievement.
